When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, ZIP code, the service you are asking about, the details you write about the job, and how soon you need it. Nothing on that form is collected without you typing it.
Information collected automatically
Our host records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and the time of each request. These exist to keep the site running and to defend against abuse.
What we do not do
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics tracking or third party marketing pixels. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not track you across other websites. If that changes, this policy changes with it and the date above will tell you.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To schedule and carry out work you ask us to do
- To keep records of jobs, quotes and correspondence
- To keep the website secure and working
We do not send marketing email to people who only asked for a quote unless they ask us to.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf so the site and our email work:
- Our website host and network provider, who serve the site and keep server logs
- Our email provider, which delivers your enquiry to us and our reply to you
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as they are useful for following up. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept longer, because tax, insurance and warranty obligations require it.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to people who need it to do the work. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise, but we maintain safeguards appropriate to the kind of information we hold, as New York law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond. Where a law such as the New York SHIELD Act or a state privacy statute gives you specific rights, we will honour them.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
